Mr Aubeck Kam, 52, who had taken over from the 58-year-old as permanent secretary for social and family development in April, will be appointed to the Ministry of Home Affairs position on the day Mr Chew retires.
Mr Kam will hold both appointments concurrently, said the Public Service Division (PSD) said on Friday (Aug 26).
The appointment of Mr Kam as permanent secretary for both MSF and MHA is inconsistent with the "doctrine of separation of powers" and looks suspicious - can the President or the Prime Minister enlighten Singaporeans about the necessity to have the same permanent secretary for 2 different ministries?

d. While SSAs put in effort to coordinate with one another, the family may still find it tedious to interface with multiple partners. Another concern is that we may not always be addressing the underlying issues, as each partner is focused on tackling the issue at hand.
26. I am pleased to announce that MSF will be establishing a review committee on the Family Services Landscape. In line with the spirit of Forward SG, we will engage and co-create the future landscape with the sector. The committee will be chaired by SPS Eric Chua and will comprise representatives from sector partners. We will share more details when ready.
I think SPS Eric Chua is trying to prevent the public from discovering the truth about "counselling fraud or chronic counselling scams paid by public monies" orchestrated by Family Justice Courts (mastermind), MSF (CPS) and SSAs through the use of a review committee on the Family Services Landscape. Public servants must look at "counselling fraud or chronic counselling scams paid by public monies" as a national security issue (Malaysia's covert and deceptive foreign interference) and not just ordinary irregularities/malpractices for the sake of money. Malaysia (the Malay sultans who descended from Indian Muslims) will have full control of Singapore's society by controlling the judiciary (incl. FJC), MSF and SSAs through covert and deceptive means. All judges in Singapore's judiciary come from privileged/wealthy backgrounds, hence they're agreeable to impede the upward mobility of children born to low-income Singaporeans to protect their own children from "future competition" from children born to low-income Singaporeans. Judges are also aware that the "sovereignty of the Republic of Singapore as an independent nation" belongs to Malaysia through covert and deceptive means, hence when a litigant has no defence lawyer - the judge can always apply the law as what she thinks it should be instead of applying the law as it is. A layman doesn't have a "lawyer licence" to question the judge whether she is applying the law as it is, or as what she thinks it should be.
Social workers from SSAs will preserve, prolong and perpetuate the "root causes of family conflict" for the sake of their "pay-per-session counselling fees" - the policymakers who designed this remuneration scheme have the intention to impede the upward mobility of children born to low-income Singaporeans, knowing that such a remuneration scheme would motivate social workers to preserve, prolong and perpetuate the "root causes of family conflict" for as long as possible instead of solving problems for the family. There's no money to be earned once the case is closed. All in all, "counselling fraud or chronic counselling scams paid by public monies" serves 2 purposes - impede the upward mobility of children born to low-income Singaporeans for privileged/wealthy judges and endless counselling fees for social workers.
